In 1985, business directors Tom and Peter Russo established Norton Gates, a small business specializing in Farm Gates, Cattle Yard gates, Industrial Gates and Fencing for Victoria. Now, Norton Gates provides this service for the rural sector in Victoria, South Australia, Southern New South Wales and Tasmania.

Norton Gates has recently begun exporting rural equipment to the Falkland Islands and also Turkey, Russia and Italy, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and Argentina. Further expansion of the business is in progress throughout Australia and Overseas.

The site in Hastings, Victoria holds three factories where production occurs and a showroom that is open Monday to Saturday to the public.

Norton Gates primary production of Gates consists of Standard Weld Mesh Farm Gates, Chain Mesh Gates, Sheep Gates, Deer Gates, Cattle Yard Gates, both in bar type and mesh covered. We also have Industrial Chain Mesh Gates and Industrial wire fencing. In addition, we also stock all pipe fittings such as Crosses; Tee’s and Hinges to suit all needs.

With our Cattle Handling products, we produce 6 types of Cattle Crushes which include Economy Cattle Crush, Standard Cattle Crush, Vet Cattle Crush, Heavy Duty Standard Cattle Crush, Heavy Duty Vet Cattle Crush and our new Cross Over Heavy Duty Vet Cattle Crush.

Norton Gates also manufacture Cattle Loading Ramps, Cattle Yards and Cattle Weighing Systems. In addition, we have a Cattle Weigh Box, Cattle 3 Way Auto Drafting System and a  Cattle Round Bale Hay Feeder.

Our Cattle Yards are to suit a variety of different applications and designed to your own specific needs. This can include curved sheeted Raceways and Forcing Yards. We also supply a light weight Portable Cattle Yard and Horse Yard. Our other additions now include the Hire or Sale of Temporary Fencing and Temporary Pool Fencing.

Norton Gates prides itself on commitment to quality workmanship and service. They manufacture 170 different types of Rural Gates and maintain that there is no minimum order and each customer is just as important as the next. Gates will be manufactured to odd sizes as required specifically for each order. Norton Gates produce equipment for both Commercial and Domestic use.
